I’m planning on going to college (don’t know what career I’m going for) but I’m wondering if real estate is a good career to get into, if it is a financially stable career, and how hard it is to get into it.

Is being a real estate agent still a good career choice?

I have been thinking of getting my real estate license in Florida (focus on residential, maybe commercial later on). But the market here is terrible at best. I have a current consulting operation that pays very well. The real estate is something I would like to do when I semi-retire in a few years. I love people and I love houses, am very good at business. However, without really understanding the real estate occupation, I am not clear if it will still be something worthwhile to pursue. I know markets go up and markets go down… Florida is really suffering right now and not sure how long it will be a problem. I wanted to go ahead and take the classes and get my license in the next 6 months. Any words of wisdom from anyone in the field?

I am currently a freshman in college and I am an undecided major. But, I am really interested in working in real estate. I have a 4 year full-ride scholarship for college, so I plan on earning a bachelors degree. After that, I plan to get my real estate license. But, I am not sure what I should major in that would go hand-in-hand with real estate and could potentially help me move up to other jobs. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank You!

I wanted to apply for a real estate job, but sinse the age of 16 all i was doing is delivering pizza and waitering? what kind of simple jobs , that a real estate company might considere important i should put on my resume?
lol the only reason i got so many answers is because i misspelled resume, and everybody had to put in their 2 cents about my spelling, with some advice, because you cant just tell me im stupid without answering my question, i guess its just human nature to put down other people to feel better about themselves

I have excellent clerical skills and some retail management mixed in. I have 5 years experience in real estate but am desperately seeking a structured work environment (housing crash is hurting alot of us). I have explored 3rd party relocation companies and do not want to work in the apartment industry. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

kazmaniandevil05 asked:

I’m a second-year college student majoring in finance and I am interested in learning about real estate development, but I don’t know where to start. I don’t really know much about it so I need to go somewhere that can teach me the basics.

Does anybody have any suggestions for a summer job/internship?

Someone suggested that I should try to work for a city in the community development office.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
